Rain is not good for your shoes and they require lot of maintenance to stay in shape after becoming wet.
I therefore recommend having one pair of shoes dedicated to rainy days. These shoes could be older than your other shoes or more robust. If you now go to buy a pair of shoes for rain consider the following criteria:
- A sole of thick rubber
- A strong tread so that you don’t slip
- A surface easy to clean (such as patent leather shoe if you like this)
