Over time each and every household accumulates all kind of staff that is not needed anymore. Instead of storing it you better sell these unused objects. The earlier you do so the better your home looks like, the better the status of the objects and as a result the better the price you can achieve.
You can sell objects through ebay or yahoo auction over the Internet. If you have a lot of small staff a good idea is to sell it on a flea market. I myself was surprised how much fun it was together with the family and friends and how much money we made with these things which were useless to us.
Another possibility is to donate to charity organizations. Many people in need might be grateful and you can combine a practical thing with a good conscious.
