If you are in a position where you can influence teh design of meeting romms you should also have some small rooms whithout chairs but with high table where people can stand.
Once people sit comfortable in their chairs discussions might be lengthy and unfocused. When people are standing they will come to the point faster and the meeting will not last longer than necessary.
